Kids aged 14 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult while on the water with a wave runner, but is an experience unlike any other of freedom, jumping the waves of big boats and exploring coves. Summer isn’t Summer at the lake without an outdoor swimming pool.  Therefore, we offer guests an outdoor pool with a view of the lake.  The tiki bar sits directly next to the pool so that you can refresh with a cold cocktail.  Enjoy the convenience of our swim-up bar outdoors instead of having to take a break from lounging poolside.

At Dog Days your dog can compete in the Dock Dogs Canine Cannonball event. The event is held annually in June and is free to watch. Dock Dogs competitions are held across the country and are known for putting on a spectacular show. There are three separate categories of events, and watching the dogs compete is fun for the whole family.

Miller’s Landing is right off the main channel, with easy access by boat or by car. They have a pet-friendly dock with a doggie menu for man’s best friend. The Kiwanas Club hosts tournaments with the proceeds offering scholarships to local children, and is a great way to give back through enjoying your hobbies and being a competitive golfer.

A fun family-friendly activity to do at Lake of the Ozarks is mini golf.  There are places such as Putt ‘n Stuff Family Fun Center, Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf, and Sugar Creek Miniature Golf, all located within a few minutes’ drive from our lakeside property.

Putt ‘n Stuff offers bumper cars and go-kart racing and will let you make an entire day of fun activities for the whole family. Pirate’s Cove, on the other hand, is widely known for their adventure golf experience. For a fine dining experience with a fantastic wine pair, travel over to Shawnee Bluff Winery. In the summer relax lakeside, and in the winter you can cozy up by the fireplace indoors. The winery grows St. Vincent grapes and offers a unique deep red wine which pairs well with their hearty sandwiches.

For large groups, check out the excellent dining destination restaurant, The Blue Heron. Reservations of groups up to 40 can enjoy their selection together, making them an attractive option for reception parties. Their dishes pair with their signature blue champagne, which you won’t find anywhere else. Their plates give the nod to the owner’s homeland of Holland while incorporating traditional and classical dishes.

Fun in the Sun with Grub

If you are looking for something a little different for you and the kids, you have to check out Jolly Rogers Grub and Grog for a day of pirating good fun. Let your kids transform into pirates in search of treasure while you enjoy a Grog (pirate for beer). When they return to dry land the kids can enjoy the playground after their meal as well.

If there is a game you want to see, it will surely be on one of the 55 TVs inside of the bar and grill. Grab a burger, a pizza, or even some wings wing your fishing buddies and take in the game or take in the lake view. If you are a wing fan, try their Thursday special for 50 cents wings.

Another terrific waterfront hot-spot you won’t want to miss is Shorty-Pants. Their creole flavors offer a different flavorful experience for your taste buds to savor. The food resembles a premier dining experience, with French desserts, but is set in a casual environment giving you the best of both worlds.
